Let Me Sleep

Long kisses in the rain,
soft licks to ease my pain
A gentle glide of a hand,
Soft eyes that understand
An intense gaze into my eyes,
So powerful they hypnotize
Strong arms that can pull me close,
Or hold me back when I lose control
Loving enough to comfort me if I cry,
To see my own pain, in their eyes
Perhaps I am in an endless reverie
Yearning to be play a part in a fantasy
To have that connection  fulfilled
To have the ability to have love willed
Waking from such beautiful dreams..
Only to encounter painful reality
If this is only a hopeless thought,
Then my friend, wake me not...
If this is all it can ever be..
Please, oh please..just let me sleep...
